- Waterfront: This area centers around Aloha Tower, a retired lighthouse which previously held the title of Hawaii’s tallest building. Cruise ships would dock at the Aloha Tower area before the advent of air travel. Today, the Aloha Tower facility has been modernized and has a variety of retail shops and waterfront restaurants. Hawaii Pacific University has purchased and is continuing to redevelop the space.
