Donilo Torres was raised near the famous wine growing region of Napa Valley where he began an early career in administering and managing federal contracts. His experience brought him from the corporate office in California, to a field office on Andersen AFB, Guam, to Joint-Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam on O’ahu, Hawaii, where he now resides.
In 2002 he earned his Business Degree at The Shidler College of Business at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa while continuing work as a federal contractor. While proposal writing, price estimating, project controls, and job cost accounting are his activities during the day he enjoys his free time at the beach with his partner, and outrigger canoe paddling in his free time.
After purchasing real estate in Waikiki, he came to realize the absolute necessity for a knowledgable real estate agent and property manager. When asked about his investment property, “It wasn’t all a disaster, and the painful lesson is that I could’ve avoided a lot of mistakes by working with a more experienced and knowledgable agent. It’s this personal lesson which motivates me to make Hawaii Sands one of the best property management companies in Hawai’i, managed by knowledgable and caring real estate agents”.
