Alex Watson

A native of Mystic, Connecticut, I grew up immersed in the world of real estate, as my family frequently bought, renovated, and sold homes as profitable investments. This early exposure to the industry sparked my passion for property management and investment.

I began my career in management at the age of 17 as a Dock Master at a 300-slip marina. While attending the University of Massachusetts Amherst, I worked as a Resident Manager for student housing, all while studying Hotel and Facilities Management. I also gained valuable experience interning with Hyatt Hotels in their management training program during the summer and winter breaks.

After graduation, I relocated to Oahu, where I spent the next 12 years leading teams of over 200 individuals at the 1,230-room Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort. During my time in Hawaii, I took part in three major hotel renovations and the opening of the new Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach Hotel. In my final position as Director of Operations and Facilities Management, I was responsible for overseeing the daily operations and long-term care of the resort, managing assets, and ensuring the smooth execution of strategic initiatives. Throughout my tenure, I learned the importance of building trust with property ownership groups by proving, every day, that their assets were in capable hands.

In 2015, I co-founded Hawaii Sands Realty with David Moyer and Donnie Torres. Together, our team has always been driven by a commitment to helping clients achieve their property investment goals with integrity, diligence, and personalized service.
